Topsail Island’s Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Bike Ride

About This Map

The Reel Housewives of Topsail Island Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Bike Ride is a 26-mile charity event that takes place each October. The ride brings together residents, visitors, and survivors to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer support programs across southeastern North Carolina. What started as a small local fundraiser has grown into a major community event.

This map shows the full route of the ride and each of the main stops along the way. The course begins and ends at Soundside Park in Surf City, which serves as both the starting point and the celebration area at the end of the race. Cyclists travel south along the island’s main road, passing through Surf City and Topsail Beach (zoom to see the full route). Two of the island's favorite restaurants offer mid-route stops—Surf City Line and Beach Bums—and act as designated rest and water stations where riders can cool off and refuel. The Topsail Beach Town Hall marks the official halfway and turnaround point before riders head back north to finish where they began at Soundside Park.

This ride isn’t about competition — it’s about coming together as a community to raise awareness and support for breast cancer. This map outlines the full route and highlights each water and rest stop, as well as the turnaround point, to help participants and volunteers follow the route easily.
